Forest Creek Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Round Rock, Texas, less than 30 minutes from downtown Austin.
Forest Creek Golf Club first opened for play in 1992. The course was designed by Dick Phelps.
Forest Creek Golf Club is set through a newer upscale residential community. It's very walker-friendly. Forest Creek Golf Club features four sets of tees to accomodate all skill levels. There are a lot of dogleg rights here, so slicers and faders will have a shot to cut some corners. The par-4 18th, however, is one hole that requires some precision, as even from the right side of the fairway you don't have much of a shot to the elevated green guarded by trees on the right side.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,147 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,394 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 552 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 160 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 426 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Forest Creek Golf Club is # 17, the 160 yard par-3.

A little more target golf involved. Nice challenge.

Staff very friendly and accomodating. Course is beautiful. Well maintained. Recent renovations changed it to more of a public facility as opposed to a country club atmosphere. I would play again.

Very good course layout. Staff EXTREMELY friendly and accomodating. Some of the nicest folks you could meet. Very well maintained for a public course (and better than many private tracks). Excellent value for the money. I drove 120 miles to play there and would do so again.

I love this course and play every Saturday and Sunday. There is another course just down the road with a better price and fairways but, the challenge isn't anywhere close to Forest Creek. If you're a serious golfer and looking for a challenge....this is the course for you!

I played this course on two consecutive days. The first day it took 4 1/2 hours to play 12 holes. The next day I played 18 holes in under 4 hours. This latter experience was consistent with my experience last year. If the course has a "skins" game or old man's group playing they need to get the marshals active to sped up play. I really like this course in spite of the first days' experience. Challenging layout and in good condition. Will play again on my next trip to the area.
